History of Economic Thought
Ideas develop through time and as time passes they get refined. Later theories are formed. History of economics may be started from the time of Babylonians or ancient Chinese or Egyptians. Although the title "economist" was not known until the end of 19th century but economic activities were there since the very first day of civilization. The development of economic thought can be traced well back into the Greek period. Later various Muslim scholars have made great contributions in economics which has been largely unrecognized. There has been an impressive contribution of Muslim scholars in particular, in almost every field of science and learning which surely demands due regard and acknowledgement.
